    Bench, Jimmie H.

    Jimmie H. Bench of Plainview, age 42 years, died August 27, 1948 in the Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. Mr. Bench served several months with the armed forces during World War II. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mrs. Faye Bench; one daughter, Melba Jean Bench of Plainview; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Bench of Ola Route 1; three sisters Mrs. Ada Owens of Texas; Mrs. Bert Marks, of Searcy; and Mrs. Ralph Jones of Ola, Route 1; and one brother, Everett Bench of Watson and a host of their relatives and friends.

    Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Ivan Marcum of Birta, assisted by Misses Francis Payne of Dardanelle and Vivian Higgins of Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Bench was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was in Salem Cemetery near Plainview.
