Henry G Wells 24 M Farmer $3300 Real Estate $1420 Personal born Ark [b abt 1836]
Phoebe J Wells 17 F House Keeper born Ark [b abt 1843]
John Wells 16 M Student born Ark [b abt 1844]
A record of enlistment in the Arkansas forces for the Confederate Army appears to be for this John Wells, and matches his age and later date of marriage in 1865 after the war. The report of residence in Little Rock is somewhat suspect, so this may be a differtent John Wells. But it was not far upstream to Little Rock, along the Arkansas River, an earlier navigation route inland from Arkansas Post.
