Notes

• The 1930 census reports Holland as Holland H.  But a Kennedy genealogyand others report him as Holland Leroy, so this is the name I amreporting.  The Kennedy genealogy also provides exact birth date andprovides death information.  This source also gives us the middle nameof Martha Meiners.

  The Nelson Family genealogy reports that Holland died in Little Rock.I suspect this is the correct one, likely indicating that though hisresidence was Almyra, he died in a hospital in Little Rock.Unfortunately, Arkansas death records are not online, and the Nelsongenealogy did not provide a source.  I presume the information camefrom family sources.

  Knowing some of the Kennedys were buried in Bayou Meto in ArkansasCounty, I checked burials in the Bayou Meto Cemetery.  I found thedeath date given there for Holland is a year later than that reportedin this genealogy.

  I have found other cases where the year on the tombstone was wrong.Since the Social Security agrees with the tombstone here, I willreport 1998 as the year of death.
