Pearl was called Pearley by her cousins, who called the twins Berleyand Pearley.  My mother still loves to say the names together wheneverwe speak of the family:  Bearley and Pearley.  But it appears heractual name was Pearl, and Pearley was a nickname, a euphony to matchBerley.  Her name is reported in the 1930 census as Pearl I, but Ihave not found out what her middle name was.  Cousins I have asked donot know her middle name.
