This is the only place where Edd appears as Edward. The family areagreed that his name was Edd. This census also records Andy as Andrewand Dock as Doctor. Andy's name appears on his birth certificate asAndy. The family and other censuses are agreed that Andy had no othername but Andy. When we see Dock's name written as Doctor, it becomesclear that the enumerator was trying to regularize or standardize thenames for these three members of this family.
My mother and aunt tell me that Edd was considered the cook of thefamily.
In 1910 the census reports Edd living in the household of his brotherTom (G T).
