Notes
- In 1910, Stewart and his wife Irene are enumerated in Cass County, where he grew up. Irene was born in Illinois. The likely grave ofNona Lee, in fact, reports her birth date was 30 January 1910. (Seebelow) Family

Jenkins, Noma L Dau F W 2months TX TX IL [born abt Jan-Feb 1910]
Jenkins, Jane E Mother F W 48 Widow 7 children/6 living AL AL AL
Stewart's mother here is named as Jane, but his mother's name wasJulia E Ward. The age here also fails to match Julia's birth date in1857. But every census age for Julia matches this. Even the 1900census reports her birth date as September 1856 (while the dzte on hergrave is 17 September 1857). But that census stil reports Julia's ageas 48!
The number of children matches Julia's report in the 1900 census, whenshe was living with her son Ira. Birth birth state informationdiffers here, being Alabama for Jane and her parents. All previouscensuses have reported Julia born in Georgia. But Alabama matchesthis census report of the birth state of Stewart's mother.
I have found three Jenkins entries in and Oklahoma that are close to JS and his children. The details from family sources are spotty, sothere are some uncertainties. I have not found a grave or deathinformation for Irene.

JENKINS, Nona Lee Jan 30,1910 Dec 29,1918* dau of J.S.
J S matches J Stewart Jenkins, son of John Cullen Jenkins and JuliaWard Jenkins. Nona Lee matches Nona Lee, daughter of JS inWommack-Jenkins genealogy by Dottie Wommack McNeely, a Jenkinsdescendant. Nona's age of 2 mnoths in April 1910 matches the birthdate on this grave.
Jack matches a son Jack in Dottie Wommack's Cass County genealogy, butshe has no date of birth for Jack. But Jack here was born in 1906,and does NOT appear in the 1910 census of the family. Floyd'sreported age of 2 years would make him born in 1908, not 1906. But 2hyears error is not unusual. The son Floyd was age 2 in 1910 (censusabove). Dottie has no Floyd in this family, though he is in the 1910census.
