• The 1900 census recorded George Terry's birth date as December 1876.That would make him 23, almost 24.  But his age is recorded as 24.But in 1880 his age had been reported as 6.  If he had really beenborn in December 1876, he would have been only 3.5 years old!  Surelyhis parents would not have mistaken a 3 year old for a 6 years old!The birthday reported in 1900 must be wrong.
  
  With a census in June 1880, that means he would have had his 6thbirthday before June 1880, making him born before June 1874.  KayeNicholson reports his birth date as 23 December 1874.  This is closer. Since the age reported when he is a child is more likely to becorrect, I am using Kaye's date.

  Richard Bates reports that George married an L Carrol (Carroll?).  Ihave no further information on this person.  But in the 1920 censusGeorge is still single at age 46.  If he married it was after 1920.
