- Different sources for the Crawford lineage report this wife as MaryCunningham or Margaret Cunningham. Mary appears to be the correctname. One genealogy reports her name as Mary Margaret. This doublename does commonly appear in later medieval and early modern families. Mary's grandson John Crawford married a Margaret Cunningham,according to other genealogies. This appears to be the correctconfiguration of the marriages. I have not yet determined therelationship between Mary and Margaret Cunningham (as of 3 July 2009).
