The 1910 and 1930 censuses agree with Loretta. There is also adiscrepancy concerning the place of birth of Ernest's mother. Thegenealogy reports her also born in Alabama, like William, but thecensuses report she was born in Texas. The 1930 census reports shewas born in Alabama.

Ernest died on 21 August 1905 in Pauls Valley, Garvin County,Oklahoma. Two days later Ernest's funeral service was conducted atthe Faith Baptist Church in Pauls Valley, with Troy Baker officiating. Burial was in the Greenhill Cemetery of Lindsay in McClain County,under the direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home, Paul's Valley.
