• Emma's record of marriage to Henry Beck has her name as Mrs Emma Roberts, which would seems to indicate she has already been married and divorced or widowed before age 18.  No record has been found of an earlier marriage, but at least one genealogy has her name as Emma Bell Wood.
  
  This name led to the discovery of hier birth record in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
