    GULFPORT -- Our beloved mother, Julia G. Lovin, age 75, passed from this life on March 16, 1998, in Gulfport.

    Mrs. Lovin, a native of Glasco, New York, had been a Gulfport resident since 1962. She was secretary to the Commander of Keesler AFB Medical Center, and was a Red Cross volunteer at Keesler Medical Center. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, and was Commander of Ex-P.O.W.'s, Gulfport Chapter.

    Mrs. Lovin was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. Lovin; a brother, Roland Mauro; and parents, Salvatore and Mary Greco Mauro.

    Survivors include a son, Rodney J. Lovin of Gulfport; two daughters, Teresa M. Lovin of Gulfport and Mary M. Lovin of Wayne, New Jersey; and a brother, Salvatore A. Mauro of Glasco, New York.

    Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at St. James Catholic Church. The celebration of the Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the church, followed by burial in the National Cemetery at Biloxi.  Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
