Katy Lu Steiner, age 60, of Escatawpa, Miss., died February 23, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1946, in Dewitt, Ark., and lived in Jackson County since 1973. She was a local artist and enjoyed painting.
She was very dedicated to her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed more than words can express.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Lee DuMond; her mother, Billie Ray Rawls; two brothers, John Dewayne DuMond and David Richard DuMond; two sisters, Ann Robinson and Louie Mae Burnett.
She was survived by her husband of 31 years, David R. Steiner, Escatawpa; her daughters, Kathy Clapper (Chris), Moss Point; Lyn Gilbert (Matt) and Tammy Cage, both of Escatawpa; her sons, Shane Steiner (Kim) and Andy Steiner, both of Escatawpa; two step-daughters, Tina Delk (Hogie) and Kim Gatlin (Brian), both of Laurel, Miss.; brothers, Walter DuMond and Lester Ray DuMond (Mary Ann); sisters, Delores Padgett (Leo) and Ruth Cunningham (Charles), 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, 6-9 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.
Funeral Service will be Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, 2 p.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Curtis officiating.
