    Harry Glen Strange, 81, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Russellville Hospital. Mr. Strange was born May 22, 1920, to Harry OBrien and Blanche Richeson Strange. He was a direct descendant of Alexander Strange, who settled in Virginia in 1613. He attended Kings College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, England. He earned the LL.B degree from the University of Alabama. In 1942.

    Mr. Strange entered the United States Army, with special duty with the Office of Economic Attache, United States Embassy, London, England. Mr. Strange served again during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army from 1950 to 1951. During the period of 1952 to 1959, he served in the capacity of County Solicitor of Franklin County. Mr. Strange moved to the Chicago, Ill., area where he lived for many years before returning to Russellville. While in Chicago, he wrote scripts for television along with other duties.

    Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his parents and his only sister, Oleta Ingram. He is survived by two brothers, Jack Bradford Strange, Russellville, and Jimmy Richeson Strange and wife, Norma, Mobile, Ala.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at Spry Funeral Home chapel at 11 a.m. today. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. preceding the service. Jackie Richardson, minister of Belgreen Church of Christ, will officiate, with burial in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
