    Jack Bradford Strange, of Russellville, passed away May 15, 2006, at Glenwood Rehabilitation Center. Services were at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with Jackie Richardson officiating.

    Pallbearers were son-in-law, Michael Underwood; grandsons, Adam, Robert and David Strange; nephews, Joe and Jim Strange.
    Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Blanche Strange; brother, Harry Glen; and sister, Oleta Ingram.
    Before World War II, Mr. Strange attended the University of Alabama and was a member of the Crimson Tide football team. He served his country in the South Pacific under the command of Gen. Douglas McArthur and the 38th Infantry Division of the Army.
    Mr. Strange was a retired plumbing and heating contractor, a member of the University of Alabama "A" Club and was inducted into the Franklin County Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. He also enjoyed his Senior Friends Rook Club.

    Survivors include former wives, Evelyn Hellums Strange and Jane Holliday Allen; daughter, Janis Underwood (Michael); sons, Brad (Terry), Bruce (Andrea) and Caleb (Christina); brother, Jim Strange; and four grandsons, Adam, Robert, David and Steven.  Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
