    Asberry B Harkins was the third son of James(?) Harkins and Nancy [last name unknown], born in December 1829. He married Nancy C Terry 25 Jan 1855. He is listed as a prisoner of war about 1864 during the Civil War.  They had four children: Mary, George, John and Columbus.  They traveled from Gilmer County in Georgia to Missouri and then to Kansas.
