The Family Bible reports the birth dates and places of all their chidlren. This registere relfects a great pattern of frequenbt movement between Jones County, int eh high plains, near Abilene, and Woodsboro, on the Gulf of Mexico, even two to three years between 1913 and 1932, when they moved to Arizona.

I have not found them in the 1910 census. But in 1916 they were in Refugio County on the Texas Gulf Coast, where Melvin was born. But her next child Virgil was born in 1918 back in Hawley, Jones County, out west. Then in January 1920, they were back on the Gulf when the census was taken.

Nora's brother Walter, who had married Thomas' sister Sybil, was also down there and also registered for the draft in Refugio. Both men were reported as farming there.

By 1930 they had joined the Thomas' mother and other members of their family in the Phoenix area. We can tell from the birth states of the children that Tom and Nora moved to Phoenix about 1923.
