Julia's name in the actual entry is Juliar.  The enumerator has written the dialectic local pronunciation, which commonly adds an ending R to names ending in a vowel (common examples are Ader for Ada & Eller for Ella).  The wife in the house just above them is, in fact, also reported as Juliar.  This is Julia Elizabeth Ward, who later married John Cullen Jenkins, my grandfather's brother.  The Ancestry sloppy transcription has Julian, a male name,

Until May 2016, when the 1860 census was discovered, the first census record I had for Julia Ward Jenkins was 1870, in the Cussetta area of Cass County, renamed for a period as Davis County, Texas.   She is 12 years old here, in her widowed mother's household.

In 1880, Julia is married to John Cullen Jenkins, and they are living next door to John's father Joseph Jenkins.

In 1900 Julia is already a widow, John Cullen having died in 1892.  The census describes the location as "North of Naples/Douglassville Rd. Via White Sulphur Springs."

In 1910, it appears that Julia is living with her son J Stewart and his wife Irene.  But the name is recorded as Jane E, not Julia E.

1910 Federal Census, Cass County, Texas, 28 April, Justice Precinct 2, Cass, District 31, page 8A, Hse/Fam #132

There is also a problem with the age of this Jane E, being 48, consistent with early censuses.  But in 1900 she is reported as 43 and only 58 in 1930 (when we would expect her to be 68)!  But another error in this report seems to confirm that this Jane E is Stewart's mother Julia.  Jane E's birth state is reported as Alabama, the same as the birthplace of Stewart's mother.  These are consistent, although previously Julia E Ward is reported as having been born in Georgia.  Georgia is also the birth place reported on her death certificate.

In 1930 she is living with her son Ebb.
