Minnie and her husband John William Thompson were recorded with their family in the 1900 Federal census in Chickasaw Nation.  Living with them is Minnie's nephew, Daniel David Green, son of Jackson Green and brother of Minnie's father, also named Daniel David Green.  The percentage and tribe are reported in this census.

The enumerator had a problem with fraction mathematics here, which shows up in other entries.  The children are actually reported as a higher percentage of Choctaw than the mother, even though their father is White!  Note below that in 1910, Minnie herself is reported as only 1/8 Indian (corrected to Chickasaw this time), while in 1900 she is reported as 3/4, even though her father Daniel David Green was White.

Minnie and her children are registered in the 1902 Indian census.  They are now correctly reported as Chickasaw.  Earlier when they were living in Choctaw Nation, they had been registered as Choctaw, thus the report in 1900 as Choctaw.  Originally the Chickasaw and Chickasaw shared the same land areas, and it was later divided into the separate National identities.

Though Minnie and her children were identified as Chickasaw in the 1910 census, in 1920 and 1930, her son Charley in her household is reported as White.  We find that Minnie has married again, to another White man James L Jones.  Claud J in the 1920 census seems to be the same man, despite a difference in age, (which we find often in censuses).  There is a new child here that did not appear in the 1900 census.

1900 census birthdays are usually wrong, often by one year but sometimes by two years.  For instance in 1900 Robert Lee is reported born in 1892, but his age in the Dawes rolls puts his birth in 1893, and his 1910 age makes him born in about 1894.

In late July 2012, my cousin and coresercher Marion Mixon discovered the marriage record for Minnie Lee and one J C Jones in Lamar County, Texas, matching the name sequence James Claude.  Lamar County is south of the Red River opposite McClain County, Oklahoma, where they lived north of the river.

The Millenium Files collection of Ancestry.com (cited above) reports Minnie died in October 1938 in Kern County, California.  L Sherman reports more specifically that Minnie died Oct 1938 in McFarland, Kern, California, where other members of the Green family had moved.
